The P144 Mental Health Beds Expansion Program addresses the need to increase capacity, reduce pressure on emergency departments, and provide additional support for people experiencing mental illness who require immediate treatment in a contemporary, safe and high-quality setting.
The over $600M project generates new hospital-based beds which provide more than 93,504 days of care, enabling 6,500 more Victorians to access vital mental health services every year.
We provided services to Northern Hospital, Sunshine Hospital, The Royal Melbourne Hospital and the McKellar Centre, which added 163 beds to the network.
