Australia's oldest medical research institute reimagined.
WEHI is Australia’s oldest medical research institute, serving the community for over 100 years and specialising in cancer, immune disorders, and infectious diseases. The expansion project doubled the size of the facility and contains labs, bio services facilities, mechanical plant, quarantine, and physical containment levels as well as delivery and service facilities.
The site has strict biosecurity controls to meet levels of containment, and this added to the complexity of the project.
