Located in regional Victoria, Galkangu - Bendigo Govhub project, is a four-storey mass timber structure government office building, including carpark, open plan offices and public interface with a 5 star Greenstar rating.
The City of Greater Bendigo Council office site is a major customer service and public administration office complex. The new office development has the capacity to accommodate at least 1,000 staff and consolidate operations for multiple governmental tenancies comprising but not limited to: existing state agencies, state authorities and local government.
The mass timber structure is a first of it’s kind with new connection details and the associated structural/ fire testing required. Local timber content and expertise were engaged during construction to ensure lower carbon footprint and a successful installation.
